Our Beloved Shepherd honored the authority of God, and understood that he was a shepherd who served under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. His desire was to devote himself to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. His passion and goal was to teach and preach the Word of God to believers, so that we may gain the fullness of Jesus Christ, through spiritual maturity.
As the Shepherd Of Bloomfield, Pastor White had a passion for "rightly dividing the Word of Truth." He served at Bloomfield for thirty-four years.
Pastor White is the Founder of the GOD SO LOVE Prayer and Outreach Ministry. Pastor White is a native Memphian. He attended Memphis City Schools. He furthered his education by attending the University of Arkansas, Memphis State University and Mid-South Bible College. He received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Detroit Bible College, Detroit, MI.
Pastor White had been involved with many Community Organizations, among them are: Board Member of Citizens for Community Values of Memphis, Memphis Church Relations Leader for Convoy of Hope, Political and Social Action Leader for the Baptist Ministerial Association, Board Member of the Religious Alliance Against Pornography (RAAP),Member of Shelby County Domestic Violence Task Force, Former West Tennessee Field Representative for Promise Keepers International.
Pastor White's love and passion for the children and youth of the surrounding communities prompted him to be the Founder of the Annual Martin Luther King Park Fishing Rodeo, this event is sponsored by Bloomfield and is free to children of all ages.
He and First Lady-Minister Janet White had been married forty-five years. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
